Better And Better

Happily moving into our new home. I am so grateful to be here, and know how wonderfully God has blessed us with this home and the opportunities that will come for us all with it... I have a feeling that for me, personally, everything is only going to keep getting better from here forward. God has brought me from a lot of places, people, and situations that I see now were not the beautiful and freeing things He has for my Heart. I see that in every trial, misunderstanding, and hopeful prayer the Lord has heard me, and has shown Himself to be a God who longs to give us every good and perfect gift. He takes, but He also gives again, and abundantly in a complete perfectness that I never have known... I truly just feel so blessed by the Lord's Love.

Writing Again...

Hello everyone,

It's been lovely being on here, beginning to blog again. I have been writing a story for quite a while now, and that took my writing thoughts away from here for some time...

I have also been busy, over the last few months, with N.C.H.M.P, learning and understanding my Clarinet better, and enjoying the new joy I have found in Percussion. Our spring concert went beautifully, and I believe we all enjoyed the music that came from months of effort! I am currently on summer break, and though it has been good to rest, I am already missing our time there and am awaiting our return. The summer ahead of me looks as if it will be filled with studying music and a little bit of my school subjects before I begin S.V.C. this fall. I am going to Running Start this Autumn to pursue my AA in Music, during which I will be receiving vocal training, which I am so very happy for! I cannot wait to begin learning and training in an area which I have loved and wanted to absorb myself in for so long...
I also found out this afternoon that I have Celiac disease! I was surprised, because, though I have dealt with migraines and being frequently exhausted, I never dealt with any of the other common symptoms of Celiac disease. I guess I am living proof of a silent Celiac! I am thankful, though, that my family has already made adjustments in our diets because my sister has Celiacs, and it will not be too difficult of a transition for me. I am very thankful for the loving family that I have.

I hope to continue blogging, and stay at it now! I will write again soon...

La Vie En Rose

This is one of my favorite songs. The melody is so lyrical and thoughtful, and the words are very sweet. I thought I would share this beautiful version by Andrea Bocelli, in which he honors Edith Piaf -a favorite childhood opera singer of his,- by playing her recording of this song alongside his own voice.

These are the English words to this beautiful song...

With eyes which make mine lower,
A smile which is lost on his lips,
That's the unembellished portrait
Of the man to whom I belong.
When he takes me in his arms
He speaks to me in a low voice,
I see life as if it were rose-tinted.
He whispers words to declare to me his love
Words of the everyday
And that does something to me.
He has entered into my heart
A piece of happiness
the cause of which I know full well.
It's him for me, me for him in life
He said that to me, swore to me "forever".
And as soon as I see him
So I feel in me
My heart which beats
May the nights on which we make love never end,
A great joy which takes its place
The trouble, the grief are removed
Content, content to die of it
When he takes me in his arms
He speaks to me in a very low voice,
I see life as if it were rose-tinted.
He whispers words to declare to me his love
Words of the everyday
And that does something to me.
He has entered into my heart
A piece of happiness
the cause of which I recognize.
It's him for me, me for him in life
He said that to me, swore to me forever.
And as soon as I see him
So do I feel in me
My heart which beats

"When he takes me in his arms
He speaks to me in a very low voice,
I see life as if it were rose-tinted."

Love Quotes

"I say, when real love, making itself at once recognized as such, did reveal itself to me at last, I did open my heart to it with a cry -nor care for it's overturning all my theory- nor mistrust its effect upon a mind set in ultimate order, so I fancied, for the few years more- nor apprehend in the least that the new element would harm what was already organized without its help."

Gentle and Humble in Heart

Am listening to this man, Pastor Moushey, preach this morning. I thought I'd share one of his older sermons that the Lord used to work on my Heart through.

Imagination

Dear readers,

I have been away from writing here for quite some time, but I hope to be writing here more frequently from now on. It was a good time to take from writing here, though. The Lord has done so much in my heart over this time that I am not even sure where to begin. I have had times, like Moses, feeling that I'm a vagabond, wandering in the desert, and waiting on God. And then, like Moses, it was as if I saw Him, somehow, as I hadn't truly seen Him before. He humbled me in ways that I never thought I could have been. It's amazing when the change He made in you was the same grace you were so afraid and misunderstanding of before. It's beautiful when God brings you to the place you never thought you'd be. Like the words of the song I posted below, "You've brought to my attention, I'm slowly changing, and becoming what I wanted to stop." And these words, "But isn't that just like a finite mind? Setting out with such righteous indignation. But when I'm at Your feet, could You look at me with some imagination?" I have been realizing more lately the life and love He has given in bringing me into this place. The Lord really opened my Heart on Easter morning, as I was thinking of how He came to bring us new life by redemption, and then, even after, to continually draw us back to Him and give us life in abundance. I had been in prayer for months to attend a Church whose preaching had been very intricate in bringing all this about in me. In a series of circumstances, the Lord opened a time to be able to attend that Church Easter morning. What could be sweeter, when that was the day when we as believers celebrate life in Christ? And nothing could have been sweeter. I found such a settled rest, such a quietness, praise, in being there. I can't begin to describe the way my Heart felt so overwhelmed by God's goodness and Love by it. It was good to be reminded who I was, am, and what He is still working to perfect in me. To be reminded why He continues to pour out His Love on us as His Children. This is where I have been, beginning to catch a glimpse of the face of the Savior in such a new and beautiful way. Watching Him change and open my Heart. I only pray that He continues, and works over me in ways that I can't imagine. Amen, Jesus. You're heart is so good.

I love you all,
Tawney Rae

The Christmas Ship

Hello my dears,

I had an absolutely wonderful evening aboard the Christmas Ship last Friday evening. It was a beautiful night with the city and Christmas lights, laughter floating across the decks, the crisp air of a night sky,... I am in love with Christmas.

Fairie Tales

"Fairy tales are more than true: not only because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."-G. K. Chesterton

I have been doing quite a bit more personal writing lately, hence the lack of posting here. I needed some time away from the online writing sphere, to spend more time gathering ideas, writing my story... I am hoping I will have more time to spend sharing those thoughts with all of you here. For now, fairy-tales and stories running through my mind are going to have to suffice.

"In The Morning Light"

"As the evening sun set oer Jerusalem, Satan's forces celebrated victory. But thier laughter turned to fear, thier celebration to fright, after what they saw in the morning light.

They saw angels robed in white, the stone rolled away. Grave clothes neatly folded in the place where Jesus lay. Satan knew it was all over, and he had lost the fight... after what he saw in the morning light.

Her eyes were swollen from all the tears she'd cried. She wondered if her broken heart would ever mend. But as she looked into the tomb, faith gave way to sight, after what Mary saw in the morning light...

She saw angels robed in white, the stone rolled away. Grave clothes neatly folded in the place where Jesus lay... Mary knew it was all over, everything would be alright...
After what she saw in the morning light."

Thankful for only an empty tomb to be seen "in the morning light" of this Lord's day! Praise God, our Savior lives, and so can we!

Like that old song says... "And life is worth a living, just because He lives!"

He lives!

I Have Come By The Way Of The Cross

"Condemned to die on a cross for crimes he had done; he was guilty, everyone could see... But his destiny was changed as he looked at Christ and said, 'When your kingdom comes, remember me'...
In paradise that day he stood, just like the Lord had said he would; surrounded by those who had gone before. One said, 'Friend, how did you come? What are the deeds you have done?' With tears in his eyes, I can hear him reply,
'There are no merits to my name, no works that I can claim. He who brought me here told me to say...'

I have come by the way of the Cross, I have come by the way of the Cross... It is nothing I have done, it's the suffering of God's Son; I have come by the way of the Cross....

I had nothing to claim but my guilt and my shame; hopelessly lost, I could not find my way... till His glorious light of Love shone down on me; His mercy washed all my sins away...
And what He did for me that day is a price I know He paid; by His grace I too can say...

I have come by the way of the Cross, I have come by the way of the Cross... It is nothing I have done, it's the suffering of God's Son; I have come by the way of the Cross,....

I see millions gathered 'round the throne from every kindred and tongue; those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb... As they cast thier crowns down at His feet, this will be thier story, this will be thier song,...

We have come by the way of the Cross, we have come by the way of the Cross... It is nothing I have done, it's the suffering of God's Son! I have come by the way, oh, come by the way... We have come by the way... of the Cross..."

With it being the time around the Lord's Supper, Black Friday, and Resurrection Sunday, the words of this song have been in mind a lot. I have come by the way of the Cross, it is true; and so undeserving of His blood and great Love. It is nothing I have done, it is only by His suffering I am healed. Yet, "all we like sheep have gone astray, and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Thank you, Lord, for the Cross.

There Is A Fountian Filled With Blood

Hello everyone,

Some musings...

I went to Church tonight and partook of the Lord's Table. It was a beautiful time of remembering His sacrifice, and has helped me to examine my heart more this last month. The Lord has been working on me a lot lately, and now I only hope I can pray with the same heart as our Savior did that night, "Not my will, but THINE be done." He yielded everything. His was a consecrated life. I think that is what I have seen the most from our Savior in this time this year. I pray I too can say...

"Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee."
Wash it in Thy blood, and use it for Thee.

"There is a fountian filled with blood, drawn from Emmanuel's veins, and sinner's plunged beneath that flood lose all thier guilty stains...
The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountian in his day; and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away...
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood shall never lose it's power, till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more...
E'er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, REDEEMING LOVE has been my theme, and SHALL BE TILL I DIE!!!
Then in a nobler, sweeter tongue, I'll sing Thy power to save; when this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave...

There is a fountian filled with Blood, drawn from Emmanuel's veins... and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose ALL thier stains."

Was singing this all day, and then we sang it in Church tonight. Thank You, Jesus.

"...And such were some of you, but ye are WASHED, but ye are SANCTIFIED, be ye are JUSTIFIED in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." -1 Cor.6:11

Praise God for the Blood!

PRAISE

"PRAISE ye the LORD. SING unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of the saints.
Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be JOYFUL in thier King.
Let them PRAISE HIS NAME in the DANCE: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
For the LORD TAKETH PLEASURE IN HIS PEOPLE: he will BEAUTIFY the MEEK with SALVATION.
Let the saints be JOYFUL in glory: let them SING ALOUD upon thier beds.
LET THE HIGH PRAISES OF GOD BE IN THIER MOUTH, and a two-edged SWORD IN THIER HAND; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind thier kings with chains, and thier nobles with fetters of iron; To execute judgement written: THIS HONOUR HAVE ALL HIS SAINTS. PRAISE YE THE LORD.
PRAISE ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his MIGHTY ACTS: PRAISE HIM ACCORDING TO HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS.
Praise him with the sound of the TRUMPET: praise him with the PSALTERY and HARP.
Praise him with the TIMBREL and DANCE: praise him with STRINGED INSTRUMENTS and ORGANS.
Praise him upon the LOUD CYMBALS: praise him upon the HIGH SOUNDING CYMBALS.

LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD.
PRAISE YE THE LORD."
Psalm 149 & 150.
