Unconditional Love series, prt. 6: Take What You Need

Cannot help but think that this is what the Lord does for us as His Children when we are in that place of need... when we are broken and void of everything He would wish to see in us; we can simply look up to Him, and He says, "Child, take what you need." We find the fulness of God and the mercy's we need in our Redeemer Christ Jesus.

Maybe we need forgiveness. What about what He said in Isaiah 43:25-26? "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in rememberance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified." and, "And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propititation for our sins: and not for our sins only, but also for the sins of the whole world." - 1 John 2: 1b-2

And our Advocate is Jesus Christ THE RIGHTEOUS. And if He is our righteousness, then can we not come to Him for all righteousness in Him to be imputed to us? He is a loving Saviour. He knows our needs. Maybe it is forgiveness and cleansing. Maybe it is His righteousness. Maybe it is healing. Maybe you need that "Rama word" for wherever you are at....

But wherever you are at right now...

LOVE IS HERE.

It doesn't matter how broken and bruised you are... He was once broken and bruised... for you. Because He loved you and you are precious in the eyes of your Redeemer. If you simply come to Him in faith, He is here, waiting for you. Come to Him.
LOVE IS HERE, AND NOW.

LOVE IS HERE.

God With Us

Hello dear readers,

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! Mine was quite lovely. I enjoyed that it landed on a Sunday this year... it made a very sweet atmosphere to the service in knowing that it was not only the Lord's day, but the day that we celebrate His birth! I felt, very much, as He seemed so present in services yesterday, that we as New Testament Christians, above all people, should know, yes,... God is with us. What a blessing. God With Us. "We are not alone. God is with us, forever and ever, we are never alone, God is with us now. Amen." as the songs says. God is with us.

May He be with you in this coming year.
Blessings (and a hug),
Tawney Rae

"Undeserved Love" series, prt. 5: Confession Brings Healing, James 5:16

Hello everyone,

I know, this is a little longer in coming... but this part of our series has taken more thought for me,...

Confession. Why is it so important? Why does God say that for us to be healed spiritually that we need to be open to confessing our faults one to another? I struggled with the idea of this principle for quite some time, to be honest. For me, I wondered why I needed to do that. I mean,... confessing things in my past to someone is not exactly... comfortable,... for sure. But the Lord showed me something about that uncomfort that helps to heal us. Let me explain. When we go to God, we feel at ease confessing our sins to Him, as if He is some fairy-tale God in the sky,... but when we even think of confessing our past sins to someone, we get fearful. We wonder if they could ever love us the same again if they knew. But it should be just the opposite. When we stand before a thrice-Holy God, we should be much more fearing at His judgement, then the judgemement of a finite man. Now, when you really begin to think about it that way, I know, in my mind, that the tables turn,...
For me, I struggled with the fact that if I told another individual my failures, my sins,... they would never love me the same again. As I was just recently dealing with that in my life, I realized something. God gave us each other to be examples to one another of the Love, the forgiveness, and the mercy of God. If we use confession as a way of displaying the Unconditional Love of God, then we become a physical, face-to-face way of displaying how how God loves us. When someone Loves me unconditionally, I can use that to picture the way that Christ loves and forgives me unconditionally. I think it is only then that we truly recongnize that we all our sinners, and cannot make it on our own. That we do need a Saviour, a Redeeemer. That is where we are able to begin finding healing, by recognizing that we need Christ to save us, wash us, redeem us,... and that He is the greatest source of healing for our sins. We bring healing to one another by pointing each other to the One who heals all man-kind of their sins and are able to show them what He has done in our lives. We can then pray for each others faults, and keep each other accountable in them. Confession truly brings healing, when we display the unconditional Love of God, grace and mercy, in the process. So be open to sharing what Christ has done for you, or how you need His healing,... it may just bless and bring Christ's healing to another soul!

Here is a favorite song of mine lately that goes along the lines of confession and unconditional Love. I know I have posted it before, but I felt like I should re-post it with the newest part of the series...

Have a wonderful evening! I love you all!

The Mask

I
"I have a smiling face, she said,
I have a jest for all I meet,
I have a garland for my head
And all its flowers are sweet,-
And so you call me gay, she said.

II
Grief taught to me this smile,
And Wrong did teach this jesting bold;
These flowers were plucked from garden-bed
While a death-chime was tolled:
And what now will you say? -she said.

III
Behind no prison-grate, she said,
Which slurs the sunshine half a mile,
Live captives so uncomforted
As souls behind a smile.
God's pity let us pray, she said.

IV
I know my face is bright, she said,-
Such brightness dying suns diffuse:
I bear upon my forehead shed
The sign of what I lose,
The ending of my day, she said.

V
If I dared leave this smile, she said,
And take a moan upon my mouth,
And tie a cypress round my head,
And let my tears  run smooth,
It were the happier way, she said.

VI
And since that must not be, she said,
I fain your bitter world would leave.
How calmly, calmly, smile the Dead,
Who do not, therefore, grieve!
The yea of Heaven is yea, she said.

VII
But in your bitter world, she said,
Face-joy's a costly mask to wear;
'T is bought with pangs long nourished,
And rounded to despair:
Grief's earnest makes life's play, she said.

VIII
Ye weep for thsoe who weep? she said-
Ah fools! I bid you pass them by.
Go, weep for those whose hearts have bled
What time thier eyes were dry.
Whom sadder can I say? she said."
